Location: Bristol - UK
Job Description:
You will work on the technical design, analysis, and implementation of civil engineering solutions for nuclear projects. You will also provide specialised technical expertise and guidance within the Nuclear Engineering department, ensuring that all nuclear engineering projects meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance in the UK.
- Perform structural calculations and Finite Element modelling using ANSYS APDL or similar advanced software and tools, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards such as Eurocode and ETC-C.
- Prepare detailed design drawings, specifications, and construction documentation for the reinforced concrete structures.
- Experience carrying out advanced analysis on RC structures.
- Experience carrying out advanced analysis of seismic, impacts, blast, and others.
- Collaborate with detailing team including drafting team, BIM Coordinator and other designer engineers as well as the technical direction team to ensure coordination and integration of design requirements.
- Prepare and present detailed technical reports.
- This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop practical and innovative engineering solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Provide technical mentorship to engineering staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor or Masterβs degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
Software and Tools:
- Proficiency in using structural analysis software, such as ANSYS, SAP2000, or similar tools.
- Familiarity with structural analysis Finite Element software, such as ANSYS APDL, Robot or similar tools.
- Experience in 3D BIM modelling such as TEKLA, Navisworks will be an advantage.
