Class 2 HGV driver, primarily using a 28ft long flatbed Rigid lorry. Based in Castlewellan, the job would entail multi-drop deliveries throughout Ireland. The loads would usually comprise of steel beams and merchant steel sections; occasionally there would be some reinforcement steel to be delivered. The Forklift drivers in the yard would load the material in an order to suit the route; it is however the driver's responsibility to tie the load. Quite often the route would be similar week to week, for instance a Belfast and North run on a certain day, followed by a Western run the next day.
