Job Summary:We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Operations Manager to support the Head of Operations in overseeing the daily business operations across the UK and Canada. This role is critical in ensuring that day-to-day processes run efficiently, that cross-functional coordination is smooth, and that clients and partners receive timely, high-quality support.This is an operational role focused on execution and support.Operational SupportAssist with day-to-day operational management for the UK and CanadaMonitor transactional activity and coordinate reviews with the Compliance teamSupport the implementation of controls and service processesManage basic supplier and vendor communicationsProvide client and partner support, escalating issues as neededExecute assigned operational tasks aligned with business needsCross-Functional CoordinationCollaborate with internal teams, including compliance, IT, sales, admin, and marketingEnsure tasks and communications are effectively aligned across departmentsBusiness Development AssistanceSupport the identification of new agents or clientsAssist in preparing proposals and documentation for potential clientsHelp maintain relationships with current agents and ensure service consistencyMarket and Administrative SupportCollect and summarise market intelligence and competitor activityAssist in completing administrative tasks such as vendor forms and prequalification processesEnsure consistent and professional company representationReporting & OversightProvide regular updates to the Head of OperationsTrack and document activities in line with internal KPIs and operational standardsQualifications and Experience:3+ yearsβ experience in an Operations role, preferably in fintech, payments, or remittancesStrong organisational and coordination skillsClear written and verbal communication abilitiesExperience working in a remote or hybrid setting with cross-functional teamsAbility to multitask, meet deadlines, and manage responsibilities with minimal supervisionPreferred:Exposure to compliance-sensitive industries such as financial services or remittancesExperience working with vendors, agents, or customer-facing operationsFamiliarity with task-tracking or project management toolsA background in operations management is advantageousApply below, or send your CV through to louise.devilliers@hellogroup.co.za
