The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

  • We need a Property Specialist (MRICS or MCIOB or equivalent)

Hours: 3 day week at 22 hours per week for an initial period of 20 weeks (with a potential to extend beyond if permanent recruitment has not completed in that time)

Location: Candidates will need their own vehicle when conducting site visits here on the Island (the rest of the time can be remote working from home or can be conducted in council offices here on the Island if preferred).

There will be allowance for car ferry travel across the Solent to and from the island when required.

  • Delivering the strategy for the Councils land and property assets management, acquisition and disposal
  • Provide strategic direction on estate optimisation, acquisitions, disposals and capital investment in accordance with strategy and policy direction adopted by the council
  • Drive asset performance through data led decision making, lifecycle planning and risk management
  • Ensure effective governance of property related decisions including business case development and investment appraisal
  • Provide leadership direction and support to the property services division, ensuring that the right skills, knowledge and expertise are in place and are aligned to strategic and operational priorities for the effective management of land and property assets
  • Embed a culture of continuous improvement, innovation and customer focus across the property function
  • Act as a senior advisor to the PFR committee and Corporate Management Team on all property-related matters.
  • Extensive senior leadership experience in property, estates, or asset management.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex property strategies and capital programmes.
  • Strong commercial acumen and understanding of property law, finance, and governance.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
