All rangers, on a rota basis, will be responsible for visiting playground areas and Leisure Provision under the control of Newport City Council on a daily basis and carry out Risk assessments/safety inspections to meet the requirement of the European Safety Standards EN1176. To ensure the efficient operation and provision of all facilities within Newport Parks.
Key Result Areas:
- To open and close the facilities as required.
- To maintain a high standard of security of all buildings and associated ancillary areas.
- To liaise with facility users to ensure they gain maximum benefit from the use of the facilities.
- To ensure a high standard of cleanliness is maintained at all times.
- To ensure the good behaviour of members and visitors using the facilities.
- To carry out basic gardening maintenance in the ornamental parks and open spaces.
- To prepare for and clean up after organised events.
- To complete and record statutory testing in NCC buildings.
- To open and close the splash park, and ensure all operational/maintenance tasks are completed.
