Are you an experienced Child Protection professional seeking your next interim opportunity in North London? We are recruiting a Child Protection Advisor to join a busy children's services team based in Wood Green, N22, available from 18 May 2026.

This is a meaningful role at the heart of safeguarding practice, contributing directly to the protection and welfare of children and young people across the borough. You will bring specialist knowledge of child protection processes, statutory frameworks, and multi-agency working to support and advise on complex cases.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing expert advice on child protection matters
  • Supporting case progression through CP conferences and statutory reviews
  • Working collaboratively with social work teams, partner agencies, and families

You will be expected to maintain high standards of practice in line with current legislation and local authority guidance.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified social worker, registered with Social Work England, with demonstrable post-qualifying experience in child protection. A sound understanding of the CP conference process, chairing or advisory functions, and court proceedings would be highly advantageous.
