EnsurethattheCouncilmeetsitsstatutoryobligationinregardstofiresafetyassetoutintheRegulatoryReformOrderandBuildingSafetyActandotherregulations
MainResponsibilities/Accountabilities/KRA:FireRiskOfficer
Thejobholderwillbeexpectedtocompletetheresponsibilities/accountabilitieseffectivelyinordertodeliverthekeyobjectivesoftheorganisation
- ToensuretheCouncilcomplieswithallrelevantFireSafetylegislationandBS/ENstandards
- Provideexperttechnicaladviceontheapplicationandinterpretationoffiresafetyguidance
- Toprovidealeadingroleinthedevelopment,implementationandmanagementofFireSafetyacrossCouncilshousingstock
- TocommissionandmanagetheannualprogrammeofFireRiskAssessmentsensuringthatallriskassessmentsarecompletedinlinewithcontractualrequirements
- Totakeresponsibilityforthemanagementoffireriskactionsarisingfromriskassessments
- InvestigateanyfirerelatedincidentsinTHHstockandworkwithcolleaguestoensurethatallfollowupmeasuresarecompleted
- Tocarryoutaprogrammeoffiresafetyinspectionacrossthehousingstock
- Toundertakesuchotherdutiesandresponsibilitiesasmaybeallocatedfromtimetotime.ThiswillincludeCommitteeattendanceaslegaladvisorasnecessary.
- DeputisefortheFireRiskManagerwhereappropriate
