We are looking for a passionate Digital Communications Officer to help bring our high-profile Making it Happen campaign to life through attention-grabbing short-form video. Working closely with our Communications and Campaigns team, you will plan, film, edit and publish story-led content that showcases real frontline services and how we deliver for our residents.

Across ten weekly themes (e.g. street cleaning and recycling, parks and leisure, community safety, new and improved homes, and support for children, young people and local businesses), you will turn briefs into engaging narratives, deliver content that is aligned with the council's brand and campaign messaging, and ensure it is fully accessible.

You will track performance and suggest ways to improve content to meet our campaign goals. We need a confident, creative video storyteller skilled in Premiere Pro, with a strong grasp of social best practice, trends, and how to optimise for each platform. You are able to turn sometimes complex or dull information into content that cuts through.

You will be collaborative, organised and comfortable working at pace across multiple locations and stakeholders.
