About The Role

West Sussex County Council is committed to supporting refugee, resettled and migrant families to find appropriate and affordable accommodation within West Sussex. This role sits within the property and accommodation structure strand and works collaboratively with teams within the Communities directorate, partners, and District & Boroughs to support families in finding suitable housing.

You will secure suitable residential accommodation, overcome housing barriers, and prevent premature accommodation termination. The role involves working directly with refugees and migrants, building relationships with local estate agents, landlords, and the Home Office to secure properties within West Sussex.

The position requires regular travel across the county, including to locations not easily accessible by public transport, and effective communication in English with members of the public.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Valid UK driving licence.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills in English.
• Ability to travel extensively within West Sussex.
• Entry level with interest in property and accommodation support.
