Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring, allocating and reporting on the financial activity of the enforcement service, in terms of the enforcement and parking revenue accounts and any associated capital accounts.
  • Assisting in the preparation of the financial content of the annual report.
  • Managing the general administrative needs of the PTE Finance, including raising purchase orders, external bills and payment of invoices, providing advice and support on Council financial procedures and regulations.
  • Providing evidence of working with financial systems (preferably SAP) and an understanding of financial control and procedures.
  • Supporting the delivery of the service within an area of expertise that ensures the delivery of a high quality and effective service that meets the requirements of the service area, customers and council.
  • Ensuring best practice is utilised to achieve the appropriate standards in the delivery of the service.
  • Monitoring the revenue activities within enforcement, parking, Transport & Highways.
  • Assisting with the preparation of the annual report by providing relevant financial information as requested.
  • Responding to customer requests for information.
  • Following simple processes to deliver work and reports (Civil Parking refunds, reconciliations, income).
  • Managing and maintaining data storage systems, ensuring that data may be readily retrieved and interrogated as appropriate.
  • Demonstrating numeracy and literacy to GCSE level, or equivalent.
  • Engaging in financial monitoring and using computer packages.
  • Liaising with the general public and outside organisations.
  • Understanding and demonstrating financial data.
  • Communicating clearly and concisely.
  • Being ICT literate.
  • Exhibiting excellent customer service skills.
  • Willingness to work to improve customer satisfaction.
