These roles are hybrid with an agreed number of days in the office each week (usually 2 days). The office base will be the Conference Centre, Eastmoors Road, CF24 5RR. The post holder will not be expected to carry a caseload although they will be responsible for managing and co‑ordinating multiple referrals.
About the Service
The Family Gateway is an innovative and progressive service within the directorate of Childrens Services in Cardiff Council that provides high quality information, advice and assistance for babies, children, young people, families and professionals across the city. The service utilises a family centred, strengths based and inclusive approach, to identify the most appropriate support that will meet the wellbeing needs of both individuals and the family as a whole. The teams within the service work collaboratively with a range of professionals and partners to ensure support is at the right level and at the right time.
About the job
The post holder will work as part of the Family Gateway Team to provide information, advice and assistance to families and professionals, both in respect of services directly provided by Early Help and those provided by other partner agencies. Contact with families or those referring into the service is facilitated through telephone calls, web chat and e‑mail.
