The requirement is that they are either Tier 3, level 5 Risk Assessor or Fire Engineering, CIOB level 6 fire safety qualifications.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work within The Fire Safety Team within Engineering and Compliance under the Housing Directorate, who are looking to recruit highly experienced fire risk assessors to join our in-house team of fire safety professionals to carry out Type 1 fire risk assessments on residential properties delivering fire class services to our residents. Flexibility is provided to manage your diary/workload with close liaison of the appointed Fire Safety Co-Ordinator.
Contribute to:
- Monitoring of existing legacy portfolio as regards FRAs;
- Procedures to facilitate the management control of fire risks;
- Being a team player and having good communication skills throughout;
- The technical competence of the Fire Safety Team (FST).
The team comprises of experienced Fire Risk Assessors and Fire Safety Co-Ordinators. You will be joining a dedicated team that collaborates with the wider organisation to ensure the safety of both the organisation and its residents, minimising the risk of fire hazards. Reporting to the Fire Safety Manager, you will work alongside the Fire Risk Assessors and Fire Safety Co-Ordinators, contributing to a comprehensive approach to fire safety and risk management within the Council.
To be successful in applying for this role, the candidate must have experience in:
- Conducting fire risk assessments for various residential properties;
- Being a member of a relevant professional body such as IFE, IFSM, or CABE;
- Having several years of demonstrable residential FRA experience;
And possess extensive knowledge of the:
- Regulatory Reform Fire Safety Order;
- Approved Document B;
- Complex Building Assessor & Validator.
