YouwilldeliverarobustDrugsandAlcoholNeedsAssessmentthatprovidesaclear,epidemiologicalunderstandingoflocalneed,serviceperformanceandfuturepriorities.
Workingcloselywithcommissionersandpartners,youwill:
- Analyselocal,regionalandnationaldatasets(includingtreatmentandpopulationdata)toidentifytrends,patternsandemergingrisks
- Assessthesize,scaleandnatureofdrugandalcoholmisuseacrossHerefordshire,includinghigh-riskandunderservedpopulations
- Reviewcurrentserviceprovision,identifyingstrengths,gapsandopportunitiesforimprovement
- Explorekeyissuessuchasrelapse,continuityofcare,anddrugandalcohol-relateddeaths,drawingoutactionableinsights
- Examineinequalitiesinaccessandoutcomesacrossgeographyanddemographicgroups
- Incorporatequalitativeinsight,includinglivedexperience,tocomplementquantitativeanalysis
- Benchmarkperformanceagainstcomparableareasandnationalindicators
- Produceaclear,evidence-basedreportwithpracticalrecommendationstoinformfutureservicedesignandcommissioning
- Presentfindingstokeystakeholdersandpartnershipforums

Wearelookingforaspecialistwhocanbringbothtechnicalanalyticalexpertiseandstrongsubjectknowledgeofdrugandalcoholsystems.
Youwillhave:
- Demonstrableexperiencedeliveringpublichealthneedsassessments,ideallywithinsubstancemisuseoracloselyrelatedfield
- Strongquantitativeandqualitativeanalyticalskills,withtheabilitytointerpretcomplexdatasetsandtranslatethemintomeaningfulinsight
- In-depthknowledgeofdrugandalcoholtreatmentsystems,policycontextandcurrentbestpractice
- ExperienceworkingwithdatasetssuchasNDTMS,OHIDFingertipsorsimilarpopulationhealthintelligencesources
- Aprovenabilitytoidentifyunmetneed,inequalities,andservicegaps,andmakeevidence-basedrecommendations
- Experienceofengagingstakeholdersandincorporatinglivedexperienceintoanalysis
- Excellentwrittenandpresentationskills,withtheabilitytocommunicatecomplexfindingsclearlytoarangeofaudiences
- Theabilitytoworkindependently,managetimelines,andrespondtofeedbackinacollaborativeenvironment
