As a CCTV Team Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our CCTV Enforcement service. You will lead a small team in the review and monitoring of CCTV enforcement of parking and moving traffic contraventions, ensuring compliance and continued development.
This will include working alongside the Operations Manager managing the delivery of major projects in an effective and efficient manner to deliver best value and ensure continuous improvements. This will involve working with both internal and external project team members, as well as managing elements of the projects at the various stages of their delivery.
You will have excellent customer skills and a keen eye for detail, along with the ability to lead and motivate a team of CCTV review officers, whilst also ensuring that key performance indicators and quality standards are met and maintained.
To line manage a team of professional and technical staff including directly employed staff, agency staff and/or external consultants, as well as external contractors in the delivery of these projects.

Key external contacts include organisations such as Videalert, Civil Enforcement Officers, MPs, police, emergency services, ETA, Traffic Enforcement Centre, Civica, London Councils, Enforcement Agents, RingGo, Disabled badge @ TFL, and BPA.
This will involve:
- Full daily supervision of CCTV Operators, who can operate up to 7 days per week including; carrying out 1:1s, annual appraisals.
- Leads, motivates and manages personal development needs within the team.
- Manages/reviews standards of work and behaviour using appropriate Council policies and procedures.
- Resolves day to day issues/queries within the CCTV Team.
- Determines staff deployment and organises staff cover due to absence and the reactive deployment of staff.
- Co-ordinates and implements the shift plan, ensuring that adequate and appropriate cover is provided for the service.
- Responsible for identifying and implementing changes to working practices which will enhance the service provided.
General accountabilities and responsibilities include:
- Responsible for ensuring all cameras are operational, serviced and able to undertake all functions e.g. pan, tilt and zoom etc.
- Able to work in the CCTV operator role with full responsibility for how the cameras are deployed.
- Identifies improvements and legislative updates and compliance to service or procedures within the control room e.g. CCTV Codes of Practice, Data Protection, Human Rights and Regulation of Investigatory Powers Acts; General Data Protection Regulations; the CCTV Commissioner.
- Evidence and database management.
