About the Role:
We are searching for an experienced and meticulous Head of Housekeeping to lead the department. As a senior leader in the operation, you will uphold the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and guest experience. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will guide, inspire, and develop a high-performing housekeeping team, ensuring seamless day-to-day delivery and consistently exceptional guest stays.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Leading all housekeeping operations, ensuring impeccable cleanliness and presentation across rooms, suites, and public areas
- Recruit, train, and motivate a diverse housekeeping team, fostering a culture of accountability, professionalism, and guest-centered service
- Manage departmental budgets, staffing levels, and resources to support efficient and high-quality operations
- Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and COSHH regulations, overseeing audits and documentation
- Collaborate closely with other departments to deliver smooth operations and exceptional guest experiences
- Conduct routine inspections, coordinating with maintenance teams to address any issues promptly
- Oversee laundry operations, stock control, and ordering of amenities
- Manage departmental payroll and scheduling to align with operational and budgetary goals
- Implement best-practice processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Who You Are:
- You will be experienced in a senior housekeeping role, ideally in a new opening hotel environment
- Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to deliver consistently high standards in a fast-paced operation
- A strong people leader with proven experience in developing and motivating high-performing teams
- Excellent organisational and planning skills, with experience managing budgets and resources
- Proficiency in hotel management systems
