The Purposeofthis
Role: Grounds Operative Thisisaveryimportantpostwithinthe Groundsand Cleansing Sectionofthe Neighbourhood Services.
Theofficerwillworkcloselywiththe Commercialand Operations Manager, alsoarangeofcolleaguestoenablethemtodeliverhigh-quality, veryvisible, commercialservicestopredominantlyexternalclientshowever, therewillalsobearequirementtoengagewithinternalclients.
Keyareasincludebeingthefirstpointofcontacttoourexternalclients, inclusiveof Monmouthshire Housing Association, Aneurin Bevan Health Board, Heddlu Gwent Police, andvariousotherclients.
Groundsmaintenanceprovidesanessentialserviceinensuringthe Countydeliversitsaspirationsofprovidinganenvironmentwhichissafe, cleanandsustainable.
Groundsmaintenanceoperatives, eitherworkingindividuallyorasateam, willmaintainpublicopenspaces, verges, planting, schoolsandcontractedsitestoprovideaqualitygreenandsustainableenvironment.
Themajorityofthetimetheofficerwillbeundertakinggroundsmaintenanceactivities.
However, youwillberequiredattimestoworkaspartofastreetservicesteam, maintaininglocalenvironmentalqualitywhichincludeslitterpicking, respondingtofly-tippingetc.

Cleanandcurrentdrivinglicence(and HGVlicenceifapplicable) Completeanytrainingthatisrequiredtoundertakeyourrolesafelyandeffectively.
Currentclean UKfulldrivinglicence(abilitytotowupto3.5tonnespreferable) Essential Grounds Operative Experienceofgroundsmaintenanceactivitiesorsimilarenvironment Abilitytoabidebythe Authoritysagreedpoliciesandprocedures.
