Monmouthshire County Council has a duty to manage its trees to meet its legal obligations as a responsible land owner. This post is situated within the Waste and Street Services Department. The role's primary function is to meet those duties as they pertain to the work and responsibilities of the department in line with the Council's Tree Policy.
The post holder's predominant activity will be tree surgery and felling operations to a high standard in line with all relevant policies and procedures, inclusive of:
- Climbing
- Pruning
- Dismantling
- Reduction of trees
- All associated tasks inclusive of aerial rescue
Applicants must hold and evidence Chainsaw and Chipper qualification. Pay amend - hourly rate will be £14.13.
