Grants Officer undertake initial grant surveys to determine eligibility for grant and complete Property Condition Schedule, which will comprehensively identify repairs/improvements required.
Grants Officer advise members of the public on all aspects of the grants system.
Grants Officer prepare schedules of work, plans/drawings and obtain estimates.
Grants Officer prepare and submit the formal grant application for assessment including all estimates and other plans and documentation.
Grants Officer undertake assessment of format grant applications including all estimates and other plans and documentation.
To prepare and submit applications for Building Control and Planning permission and any other necessary approval as required.
To carry out supervision of work throughout the process including the submission of all claims for interim and final payments.
To promote the Grants Agency Service and to identify suitable Block Repair Schemes.
To develop Block Repair Schemes and provide a comprehensive agency service to applicants.
To carry out inspections relating to applications for loans from the Council where required.
To process grant applications from initial site survey through interim payments to final payment and at all times to act on behalf of the Principal Housing Renewal and Grants Officer.
To maintain all grant management information systems including Flare to enable regular reporting.
