Do you have previous retail management experience and a creative eye for visual merchandising? Then we'd be keen to hear from you! St Leonard's Hospice is recruiting a Shop Manager to work at our Scarcroft Road, York shop to manage the day-to-day running, delivering an efficient, organised and customer-focused operation to maximise income for the Hospice. Every interaction with our customers, whether that be through purchases or donations will help us to continue to provide care and support to local people with life limiting illnesses.

Responsibilities:

  • Maximise store sales, profits and meet KPIs through management of stock, visual merchandising and commercial analysis.
  • Provide a high level of customer service to donors and customers and uphold the Hospice values and Retail Service principles.
  • Provide line management support to the shop team which will consist of paid staff and volunteers.

Qualifications:

  • Experience of working in the retail sector.
  • Experience of successfully managing staff and/or volunteers.
  • Proven interpersonal skills and be able to communicate at all levels within the Hospice and to the general public.
  • Excellent organisational skills including attention to detail and prioritising their workload and being able to use their initiative to drive footfall and sales.
