We are currently seeking a Managing Scientist to join our Occupational Exposure Team within the Chemical Regulation and Food Safety Practice. Locations include Harrogate (UK), Nottingham (UK), London (UK), Dublin (Ireland), Mannheim (Germany) or Basel (Switzerland). Homeworking may also be considered.
You will be responsible for:
- Operating within the Occupational Exposure team working on projects managed within that team or by Exponent's Regulatory Group.
- Providing verbal and/or written inputs to project teams, contributing to the achievement of best possible decision making and highest quality outputs.
- Developing knowledge and experience to interpret data from studies, drawing sound scientific and regulatory conclusions.
- Generating high quality regulatory submission documents, including summaries of exposure study reports, exposure and risk assessment calculations and overall conclusions.
- Participating actively in project teams to ensure Exponent's high standards for communication are met.
- Applying the Exponent Quality Management System to all external written communications.
You will have the following skills and qualifications:
- A minimum of a BSc. in a relevant scientific discipline.
- Extensive experience working in a regulatory environment.
- Knowledge of European regulatory frameworks relating to plant protection products, industrial chemicals, food or consumer products, or experience in a health protection role.
- Experience working within a budget and to tight deadlines.
