Join the Aviva Investors UK Funds Legal team to support regulated fund structures and the distribution of funds. While previous UK authorised fund experience is not essential, the role requires a willingness to learn, the ability to work on strategically important projects, and a rapid uptake of new concepts.

Responsibilities

  • Provide legal support and advice across Aviva Investors' range of UK authorised funds (UCITS, NURS, LTAFs).
  • Contribute to product development and management.
  • Support global distribution efforts in the UK, Europe and the Americas.
  • Advise from an AIFM perspective on unauthorised UK AIFs.
  • Liaise with internal and external legal counsel, regulators and service providers.
  • Support strategic and regulatory projects.
  • Manage legal risk in fund documentation, third party agreements and regulatory compliance.
  • Handle flexible working arrangements, including part time and job shares, to suit the role and business needs.

Skills and Experience

  • English law qualified solicitor, with experience in an external law firm or in house legal function of an investment management business.
  • Ability to contribute to major projects, negotiations and relationships with third parties and external advisers.
  • Positive attitude, collaborative problem solving and solutions oriented mindset.
  • Strong initiative, efficient work habits and prioritisation of multiple tasks.
