We are looking for an enthusiastic Store Assistant to help customers identify and purchase products they desire and support the store team to ensure smooth running of the store.

Store Assistant duties include selling, restocking, merchandising and providing high class customer service and sales maximisation. You will be responsible for picking customers' orders, keeping shelves well stocked with products, and maintaining a clean and presentable store at all times.

Responsibilities

  • Pick customers' orders
  • Ensure all products are clean and correctly priced
  • Stock is put out on shelf to company procedures
  • Count stock accurately
  • Use of till / Retailer
  • Pack all orders in line with the company procedures
  • Assist and arrange for items to be dispatched
  • Answer the phone
  • Invoicing of orders through our till system
  • Keep up to date with all promotional activity
  • Merchandising within the company guidelines
  • Build on customer telephone orders
  • Assist with deliveries of stock coming into store
  • Transfer stock in/out to stores/suppliers
  • Help maintain a safe and secure environment for customers and colleagues
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service
  • Maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards
  • Make deliveries to salons within your area when necessary
  • Maintain a fully stocked store
  • Ascertain customers' needs and wants
  • Welcome and greet customers
  • Actively involve in the receiving of new shipments
  • Keep up to date with product information

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Store Assistant
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Working Hours and Job Location

The working hours for this role are 36.75 hours a week: Monday to Thursday 8:15am - 5:00pm and Friday 8:15am - 1:00pm. The role is located at 10B Bartec 4, Lynx West Trading Estate, Yeovil, Somerset, BA20 2SU.

Compensation

Salary £12.71 per hour. Competitive salary, bonus and incentive scheme.
