Counselling/Clinical Psychologist in Worthing

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Counselling or Clinical Psychologist to join our growing multidisciplinary team at our seaside-based clinic in Worthing, West Sussex.

Main duties of the job:

• Deliver high-quality psychological assessment, formulation, and evidence-based intervention for children, adolescents, and adults.
• Work therapeutically with looked-after and adopted children, their carers, and families.
• Undertake psychometric assessments and contribute to clinical reports and recommendations.
• Manage an individual caseload effectively and work towards agreed outcomes.
• Contribute to multidisciplinary working and collaborative care planning.
• Maintain accurate and professional clinical records and written communications.

Job responsibilities:

This role offers an exciting opportunity for a recently qualified yet experienced psychologist to develop their skills within a diverse and supportive environment. We provide high-quality psychological support to adults through a range of referral pathways, including self-referral, mental health professionals, insurance providers, and employers. In addition, our trauma specialists deliver comprehensive assessments and therapeutic interventions for children, adolescents, and adults referred via Local Authorities and Adoption Agencies. Our trauma-informed work places strong emphasis on regulation, attachment, and relational and developmental understanding. Much of this work involves supporting looked-after and adopted children, as well as the families and systems around them.

Qualifications:

• Post Graduate Qualification.
• Chartered status and accreditation with the BPS.
• Registration with the HCPC as a practitioner psychologist.
• Have up-to-date CPD and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
• Training and experience in psychometric administration and interpretation.
