The Property Planning and Transport team seeks an experienced lawyer to manage a high profile, complex commercial property caseload with minimal supervision. The role involves dealing with all aspects of commercial property work, including leases, disposals, acquisitions, overage and development agreements, and providing advice on politically sensitive matters to clients. Supervisory support to non-qualified staff will also be required.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle a high profile, high quality, complex commercial property caseload independently.
  • Deal with the full range of commercial property work: leases, disposals, acquisitions, overage and development agreements.
  • Advise clients on complex, politically sensitive matters.
  • Provide supervisory support to legal assistants, legal officers and senior legal officers within the team.

Qualifications:

  • Experienced qualified lawyer with substantial experience in commercial property law.
  • Strong knowledge of leasing, disposals, acquisitions, overage and development agreements.
  • Ability to manage complex, high profile matters with minimal supervision.
  • Experience in advising on politically sensitive issues is an advantage.
  • Public sector experience is not required but would be advantageous.
