Kick start or grow your culinary career in a fun, fast paced environment! At Parkdean Resorts, we're searching for an enthusiastic Commis Chef to join our energetic kitchen team. If you're passionate about food and ready to support the creation of dishes our guests will love, this is the perfect role to develop your skills and thrive in a supportive, hands on setting.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing and presenting dishes to company specifications, maintaining excellent standards of cookery and service.
  • Keeping your section and the wider kitchen clean, tidy, and hygienic throughout service.
  • Checking and recording food temperatures accurately, following company processes.
  • Completing food prep before and during service, and restocking as needed.
  • Supporting portion control and minimising food waste to help maximise profit.
  • Receiving, checking, and storing deliveries safely, following stock rotation and food safety guidelines.
  • Communicating clearly and professionally with the whole kitchen team to support a positive working environment.
  • Following all health & safety procedures including allergen policies, hygiene standards, correct equipment use, and incident reporting.
  • Completing deep clean tasks as directed by the Head Chef.

Qualifications

  • Experience in high volume food preparation and cooking (preferred but not essential for the right candidate).
  • The ability to work well under pressure in a busy kitchen environment.
  • A passion for producing great food and delivering unforgettable guest experiences.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
