We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Student Welfare Manager to lead and develop the College's pastoral support and learning assistance provision. This role will oversee the College's student welfare strategy, including pastoral care, Disabled Student Allowance, and learning assistance provisions. The successful candidate will work closely with staff across the College to ensure students receive appropriate support to enable them to thrive academically and personally.
The role also includes managing a team of specialist mentors, learning assistance tutors and chaplains, and contributing to inclusive teaching practices across the College. We are looking for someone with experience supporting wellbeing and disability needs, the ability to understand DSA and other funding packages, and knowledge of disability legislation, ideally in a Higher Education setting. Excellent interpersonal skills, and experience of providing pastoral support will be an advantage, along with the ability to respond appropriately to sensitive or complex student situations.
Salary: £24,131 based on 30 hours a week.
