Digital Computing Lecturer (Part-time starting August 2026) 37 hours per week. Full time up to £39,714.22 depending on qualifications and experience. Our client is a further education college supporting young people and adults to take the next steps on their career path. They are an inclusive centre for lifelong learning, equipping their learners with the professional behaviours, skills and values that they will need for their careers. Exciting opportunity for an experienced Digital & Computing Lecturer to join them on an Interim Basis. You will deliver teaching on their Digital T Level qualifications and Level 2 Transition to T Level 3 programme.
About the role: As the Digital Computing Lecturer you will have the enthusiasm and drive to deliver these vocational programmes. Your role will include:
- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging and effective lessons aligned with the curriculum and assessment requirements
- Create a positive and supportive learning environment that motivates students to achieve their full potential
- Assess, review and record learner progress
- Maintain course and learner records
- Embed employment skills into the curriculum courses
To fulfil the role of Digital & Computing Lecturer you will have:
- Proficient in the use of software development such as SDLC, models and languages (including Python, C++, C#, Java, VB.net) along with appropriate IDEs (Visual Studio 2017 with mobile emulator)
- Experience of teaching in FE a distinct advantage
- Teaching qualifications or be prepared to work towards this with our support
- Recent graduates and people looking for a career change may be considered
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience delivering Computing and/or Digital qualifications
- An awareness and understanding of contemporary curriculum and assessment developments in IT
