This is a great opportunity to take the exciting next step in your hospitality career and work as part of the Kitchen brigade within our newly refurbished Thatchers Bar, Restaurant and Hotel. We're looking for a Sous Chef to join us. In a new era in hospitality, make your mark and really drive forwards, embracing our 'Ownership with Personality' values. Thatcher's Hotel is a charming Tudor style property set in the heart of the glorious Surrey countryside. With 87 newly refurbished rooms and multiple event and conference spaces, Thatchers is a stunning property to work within.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Sous Chef with a true passion for great food with a clear focus on presentation and quality service, able to inspire and lead the brigade.

Responsibilities
  • Create, prepare, cook and present dishes - running your section, leading section(s) and coordinating service with colleagues.
  • Mindful of wastage, portions and time efficiencies and working with all departments to ensure smooth service.
  • Support the Head Chef to lead and mentor less experienced colleagues, working as a team to deliver great food to guests in a timely manner.
  • Be flexible to cook and serve in any section to ensure smooth service - great food, every time.
  • Follow Food Safety, Health & Hygiene regulations at all times, including compliance checks and keeping the section clean.

  • Passionate about food, fantastic ingredients and mouth watering taste combinations.
  • Determined to deliver the best results, regardless of pressure.

  • Exceptional attention to detail - presentation is key.
