Dudley MBC is recruiting for an experienced Training Professional to join its Housing and Communities Training team. The role provides comprehensive training and development interventions to empower our Housing and Communities workforce to deliver exceptional, customer focused services. This includes designing, developing, delivering and evaluating a variety of in house courses, identifying and sourcing external training to meet specific professional or health and safety requirements (e.g. Housing Maintenance and Construction, Housing Legislation) and supporting the ongoing implementation of the Social Housing (Regulation) Act requirements, including the Competence and Conduct Standard and the professionalism agenda across Housing Services.
Hours: 37 hours per week
Salary: £35,412 - £38,220 (Grade 8)
Location: 3 St James's Road, Dudley, DY1 1HZ
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and facilitate a range of CPD workshops, events and blended learning solutions to meet training needs aligned with the Council's strategic objectives, including compliance with the Competence and Conduct Standard and professional practice.
- Deliver and evaluate in house training courses and identify suitable external training for professional and health and safety requirements.
- Support the implementation of the Social Housing (Regulation) Act, including the Competence and Conduct Standard and the professionalism agenda across Housing Services.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of the Social Housing regulatory framework, including the Competence and Conduct Standard, and the importance of professionalism, skills, behaviours and continuous learning in delivering high quality housing services.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, facilitation, coaching and influencing skills to train, guide and advise colleagues across the organisation.
- A clear thinker with a creative and innovative, solution focused approach, capable of working with all levels of staff.
