Are you a culinary enthusiast with a passion for creating delicious and nutritious meals? We are looking for a Cook to join our Adult Social Care team. This role involves working 24.5 hours a week over a two-week rota, covering seven days a week throughout the year. You will be responsible for preparing meals for 12 individuals with diverse dietary needs and cultural backgrounds. If you have experience in a commercial kitchen and a flair for menu planning, this is the opportunity for you!
As a Cook, your key responsibilities will include:
- Meal Preparation: Create tailored meals using fresh produce, catering to various dietary requirements.
- Menu Management: Plan and order ingredients, ensuring a diverse and appealing menu.
- Food Safety Compliance: Follow food safety regulations and maintain accurate records in line with the Safer Food Better Business policy.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with care staff to ensure meals meet the needs of our residents.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Experience: Proven experience cooking in a commercial kitchen.
- Food Hygiene Certification: Level 2 food hygiene is essential; Level 3 is desirable or a commitment to achieve it.
- Culinary Creativity: Ability to plan and prepare meals that are both nutritious and appealing.
