The Wellbeing and Activities Coordinator will provide a wide range of activities to engage and stimulate residents' physical, psychological and social well being and promote privacy, dignity, independence, choice, rights and fulfilment for all residents.
Responsibilities
- Identify the life history, needs and preferences of residents by listening to them and their families to support the development of a detailed life story.
- Plan and submit to the Home Manager a monthly activity and wellbeing plan and a weekly overview.
- Arrange activities, events and outings, encouraging the involvement of staff, relatives and visitors.
- Maintain a safe living and working environment and contribute to the positive and professional image of the home.
- Respond to the role specific duties listed in the application notice: ADBS disclosure check (cost met by Avery Healthcare) and proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
Person Specification
- Previously worked with older people in a residential nursing dementia setting.
- Experience organising activities and events.
- Effective communication skills, verbal and written.
- A positive attitude toward older people and a commitment to providing stimulating, quality activities and social events.
