We are looking for a Weighbridge Operator / Order Processing Customer Support to join our team at Petterden. This is a key role within our site operations where you will be responsible for managing weighbridge activity, processing orders, and ensuring all site transactions are recorded accurately. You will act as a central point of contact between drivers, customers, and the wider operations team, so your attention to detail and ability to manage a busy workload is essential.
Job Activities
- Welcome, with a professional and friendly approach, all drivers and visitors to site
- Accurately weigh vehicles in and out using the weighbridge system
- Create, record and process orders onto internal systems in a timely manner
- Ensure all documentation is completed correctly, including tickets and transfer notes
- Liaise with drivers, customers, and site staff to ensure smooth daily operations
- Handle general enquiries both face-to-face and over the phone
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with company procedures
- Support with administrative duties relating to site operations
- Work closely with the wider team to ensure efficient running of the site
- Demonstrate a positive approach to change and continuous improvement
Knowledge and Skills Required
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy is essential
- Previous experience in an administrative or weighbridge role is desirable
- Confident IT skills, including experience using Microsoft packages
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
