I am a friendly elderly gentleman living in Lauder with some mobility issues. I am keen to remain living independently in my own home and am looking for a kind, patient Personal Assistant to support me over weekends. The role involves providing gentle assistance while encouraging me to maintain as much independence as possible. I appreciate someone who will give me time and support at my own pace.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Morning Visit (45 minutes): Assist with washing and applying creams, help with dressing, including compression stockings, ensure falls alarm is worn, support with preparing breakfast.
  • Lunch Visit (30 minutes): Assist with meal preparation, ensure fluids are available and taken.
  • Teatime Visit (30 minutes): Help heat main meal, ensure fluids are taken, check falls alarm is still in place.
  • Bedtime Visit (45 minutes): Assist with changing into nightwear, ensure fluids are available, prompt and support getting into bed.
  • Additional Support: Help with any other tasks I am unable to manage independently.

  • PVG and references required.
