Helping to maintain the building with gardening, hedge cutting, DIY and repairs to equipment. Tasks would vary in different seasons and could include helping with:
- DIY - minor repairs to the building and contents
- Maintenance of camping equipment - folding up tents, repairs to tent poles
Help for as much or as little as you wish and learn new skills. To help with an existing volunteer, it would need to be a Saturday or Sunday daytime. Midweek would be on your own unless you have a friend to volunteer with you. Can easily include be adapted to suit the applicant and their need.
Local young people will hugely benefit from the care given to the facilities they use. Week by week, our adult volunteers empower young people to learn new skills, make new friends and stand on their own two feet. They're our everyday heroes. They shape young people's lives for the better, and find out a whole lot about themselves in the process, too.
