We are looking for an enthusiastic Commis Chef to join our energetic kitchen team at Parkdean Resorts. The role involves preparing and presenting dishes to company specifications, maintaining high standards of cookery and service, and supporting the kitchen team throughout service. The position offers varied shifts (including evenings, weekends and bank holidays) and opportunities for career development.
Responsibilities
- Preparing and presenting dishes to company specifications, maintaining excellent standards of cookery and service.
- Keeping your section and the wider kitchen clean, tidy, and hygienic throughout service.
- Checking and recording food temperatures accurately, following company processes.
- Completing food prep before and during service, and restocking as needed.
- Supporting portion control and minimising food waste to help maximise profit.
- Receiving, checking, and storing deliveries safely, following stock rotation and food safety guidelines.
- Communicating clearly and professionally with the whole kitchen team to support a positive working environment.
- Following all health & safety procedures including allergen policies, hygiene standards, correct equipment use, and incident reporting.
- Completing deep clean tasks as directed by the Head Chef.
Qualifications
- Experience in high volume food preparation and cooking (preferred).
- Ability to work well under pressure in a busy kitchen environment.
- Passion for producing great food and delivering unforgettable guest experiences.
