Ares Credit Group’s European Direct Lending team seeks a Quantitative Developer to bridge the gap between front‑office investment professionals and technology. The role focuses on developing tactical, local solutions that enhance operational efficiency and investment decision‑making while integrating with core strategic systems.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate directly with Investment Professionals to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical specifications.
- Convert business use cases into design, development, testing and deployment of secure, user‑friendly local applications and tools.
- Create and maintain robust interfaces and connectors to strategic enterprise systems, ensuring data integrity and reliable transfer.
- Facilitate ETL (extract, transform, load) from multiple sources, including Azure‑hosted Data Lake, to support local analytics and reporting.
- Build and enhance dynamic fund‑level financial models to support capital allocation, return optimisation and liquidity management.
- Integrate with CRM platforms, data lakes, proprietary APIs, and investment/accounting systems such as DealCloud, Salesforce, Allvue, Geneva and WSO.
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Finance or related quantitative field.
- 5–7 years of professional experience as a technology developer, financial analyst or similar role in the Financial Services industry.
- Hands‑on Python experience (Pandas, NumPy, Flask/Django) and ability to develop internal tools.
- Experience with Databricks/Snowflake, Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate) and SQL/Database technologies.
- Familiarity with Azure data services, Data Lake and ETL processes.
- Knowledge of investment accounting platforms (Allvue, Geneva, WSO) and CRM systems (DealCloud, Salesforce).
- Strong corporate finance, private credit and private equity acumen with modelling, structuring and valuation skills.
- Excellent communication skills, ability to translate technical and financial concepts to diverse stakeholders.
- Collaborative mindset, self‑starter, and proven ability to deliver results in ambiguous environments.
