StepStone Group, a leader across private market solutions in Private Equity, Private Debt, Real Estate, and Infrastructure, is seeking an experienced Director focused on institutional capital raising for the U.K. The position, officially based out of London, will be tasked with growing both the firm's investor and asset base by winning institutional business throughout their assigned territory across four asset classes. For this role there will be an emphasis on Private Equity.

Responsibilities

  • Help to further develop StepStone's competitive positioning, marketing strategies and sales messages with respect to its asset management offerings and advisory services across institutional investors in the UK.
  • Work with the existing UK BD team to execute on the Institutional business development plan and grow both AUM from both new and existing LPs.
  • Proactively undertake investor outreach, soliciting StepStone offerings across the various asset classes with a strong focus on Private Equity.
  • Effectively partner with the Head of UK to cover a broad territory, across an array of investors generating new leads and maintaining a high level of activity with prospective and existing clients.
  • Build qualified pipelines of institutional investors to execute campaigns and roadshows.
  • Take ownership of the sales process from prospect stage to potential close.
  • Respond to existing client inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Meet fundraising targets and KPIs set forth in the annual business plan.
  • Maintain and track outreach activity in the firm's CRM software (Salesforce).
  • Attend regular internal meetings and strategy education sessions.
  • Work closely with UK Head of Business Development to review activity, pipeline and progress.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements

  • 7+ years of private market institutional sales experience/Private Equity experience.
  • Proven track record of institutional capital raising in the U.K. for institutional clients.
