Role Overview
Provides Tax Advisory services to start‑ups, scale‑ups, private businesses and FTSE listed multinationals across the UK and internationally, tackling a wide range of VAT and related tax matters.
Responsibilities
- Work independently and pro‑actively to manage your own tasks, while confidently collaborating with senior managers, directors and partners to deliver effective solutions for clients.
- Identify opportunities to enhance delivery and provide additional services to clients.
Qualifications
- Experience of providing VAT services to a wide range of clients including household names, global multinationals and fast‑paced privately owned businesses.
- UK VAT experience/knowledge is essential, with significant work advising global VAT issues via the BDO International network.
- Experience managing a portfolio of clients, developing growth targets, controlling billings and cash collection in line with firm criteria.
- End‑to‑end project delivery experience, ensuring assignments are completed on time and within agreed budgets.
- Understanding of quality control procedures and risk management.
- People management experience.
- Ability to participate in new bids and proposals.
- Significant understanding of and previous experience within UK VAT.
- In‑depth knowledge of recent key updates and areas of focus in VAT.
