This role provides VAT compliance and advisory services for a diverse portfolio of corporate clients, including FTSE100, FTSE250, AIM, private equity‑backed, and privately owned businesses. You will manage existing client relationships, ensure billing control, identify recovery opportunities, and support the growth of the practice.

Responsibilities

  • Provide tax compliance and advisory services to a wide range of clients.
  • Manage a portfolio of clients, controlling billings and identifying opportunities to improve recoveries, together with cash collection.
  • Pay attention to self‑development and continuing professional education with a view to progressing within the practice.
  • Develop professional relationships with clients and within the firm, adapting the approach for the relevant audience.
  • Understand potential risks to the firm in relation to quality control procedures and raise issues to the appropriate person.
  • Get involved in special assignments on an ad hoc basis.

Requirements

  • In‑depth, up‑to‑date knowledge of taxation with specialist VAT knowledge and ability to deal with complex tax issues.
  • Project and staff management experience.
  • Ability to manage a substantial client portfolio profitably while actively seeking opportunities to develop new clients and sell new services to existing clients.
  • Experience of dealing with client senior management.
  • Educated to degree level and/or CTA and/or ACA qualified, or equivalent.
  • Demonstrable post‑qualified experience.
