BDO is an accountancy and business advisory firm. The Value Creation Services team is a core part of BDO’s M&A and Deals offering, advising businesses and private equity on operational improvement and growth opportunities to maximise EBITDA and cash levels.

Responsibilities

  • Lead operational due diligence, carve‑out support and post‑merger integration engagements across a range of sectors.
  • Identify and deliver EBITDA improvement programmes, working capital optimisation and cash optimisation initiatives.
  • Deliver financial analysis of operational opportunities for EBITDA and cash improvements within the context of commercial requirements.
  • Implement change management and value creation programmes across portfolio companies.
  • Work collaboratively with client management teams and BDO advisory experts to develop and execute operational transformation strategies.

Qualifications

  • Hands‑on knowledge and experience of M&A transactions and business operations including front‑line and back‑office functions across multiple sectors.
  • Experience working across operational due diligence, carve‑out, and post‑merger integration disciplines and engagements.
  • Strong commercial acumen and understanding of processes that drive profitability, cash flow and value.
  • High level of analytical and intellectual base, with well‑developed analytical skills.
  • Experience of conducting financial analysis of operational opportunities for EBITDA and cash improvements and delivering insights to commercial teams.
  • Exposure to change management and implementation of value creation programmes.
  • Understanding of key operational working capital processes across order‑to‑cash, procure‑to‑pay and forecast‑to‑fulfil, including experience identifying and delivering initiatives to release cash.
