Hours of work: 16 per week. Working pattern: Part time, term time only (working for 39 weeks per year plus 5.85 weeks annual leave, pro rata salary).

Little Horsted is a successful small rural school situated near Uckfield. We are a happy school community where children are encouraged to reach their full potential in a caring Christian environment.

The Governors are seeking to appoint a caring, enthusiastic and skilled Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join our warm and nurturing school based nursery, working primarily with our 2 year old children for 2 days a week from September 2026. You will play a key role in supporting children's early development, building secure relationships, and creating a safe, stimulating environment where every child can flourish.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high quality care and learning experiences for 2 year olds in line with the EYFS.
  • Build warm, trusting relationships with children and families.
  • Support children's personal, social, emotional, physical, and communication development.
  • Contribute to planning, observations, and assessments.
  • Work collaboratively with the Early Years and wider school team.
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment at all times.
  • Uphold the school's Christian ethos and values in daily practice.
