We are looking for a Salaried GP for 6 sessions per week to join our team at the Three Spires Medical Practice in Truro, Cornwall. Fixed term for up to one year to cover maternity leave.

Working 6 sessions per week, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient centred care to a diverse population, collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic healthcare solutions. You will actively engage in clinical meetings, audits, and quality improvement initiatives. Salary: £214.28 per session.
About us
Based within Truro Health Park, the Three Spires Medical Practice looks after around 18,000 patients and 4 care homes within Truro and nearby. We are committed to continuity of care, maintaining our strong patient satisfaction ratings and low staff turnover. We look after each other, as well as our patients. We are a learning practice, hosting GP Trainees, Medical Students and Student Nurses from the Peninsula School of Primary Care and the University of Exeter.
Job responsibilities
- Mix of telephone, Accurx dialogue, and face to face consultations.
- Checking, reviewing and signing repeat prescriptions.
- Responsible for dealing with queries, patient test results, referral letters (NHS/private), task, emails and other paperwork and correspondence.
- Clinical management of the patients as appropriate including initiating investigations, reviewing results, making referrals to secondary care or to other providers as appropriate.
- Develop care and treatment plans in consultation with patients and in line with current practice disease management protocols as well wider guidance such as that from NICE.
- Responsible for following up on own initiated investigations, referrals, tasks, emails and other paperwork to ensure actions are completed.
Experience
- Full GMC registration.

- Strong clinical skills with an evidence-based approach to patient care.
- Proficient in using electronic health records and embracing new technologies.
