We are looking for a Full Time Transport Shift Manager to join our team in Milton Keynes. As a Transport Shift Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of the day-to-day transport operations at the site, ensuring the operation is running smoothly, and supporting the Transport Operation Manager with a variety of tasks that add value to the operation.

Hours: 42.5 hours per week
Working pattern: 4 on / 4 off shift pattern 6.00am to 6.00pm

What you'll do:
- Maintaining a safe and friendly working environment for all employees, agency and subcontractors
- Own the recruitment, induction, absence management, well-being meetings & 121s process, including disciplinaries, grievances and investigations within the transport department
- Ensuring effective communication within the transport teams through meetings and briefings
- Responsible for delivery of operational KPIs. Maintain and improve performance levels to maximise efficiency of operation in line with account KPI's

- Thorough knowledge and hands on experience of a transport function within the FMCG Distribution Industry
- A background operating at a management level is a must
- A passion for encouraging teamwork, focusing on creating an innovative culture where all employees can voice their suggestions and ideas
- Excellent team management skill for developing your team
- An analytical mind-set
- Flexibility to cover a variety of shift patterns in the future
- You'll come in to contact with Trade Unions (previous experience with this would be beneficial)
