We are seeking a motivated and organised individual to join us as a Trading Volunteer Lead. In this role, you will oversee the local management of trading volunteers across our retail stores, e-commerce operation, and Donation Centre. Our team of volunteers play a vital role in supporting and sustaining our services. This varied and rewarding position focuses on recruiting, training, supporting, and retaining volunteers, while ensuring they feel valued, motivated, and encouraged in their roles.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead volunteer recruitment and retention
- Organise volunteer recruitment events and taster sessions
- Support and nurture volunteers throughout their journey
- Work closely with Shop Managers to maintain volunteer rotas and training compliance
- Coordinate volunteer onboarding, mentoring, and administrative support
- Maintain accurate volunteer records and databases
- Promote volunteer recognition and engagement initiatives
- Respond to volunteer queries and provide ongoing support
- Support operational needs across stores and departments where required
About You
- Excellent communicator with strong organisational skills
- Ability to prioritise workload effectively
- Strong administrative skills
- Full driving licence and access to a car
- Experience in volunteer coordination, retail, administration, or people support would be advantageous
This role requires flexibility and includes occasional weekend working. Travel across multiple locations is required; therefore, a full driving licence and access to a car are essential. Mileage and expenses will be reimbursed in line with company policy.
