About the Role
Stanza Living is hiring a Legal Compliance Specialist who is meticulous and well-versed in India's regulatory landscape. The ideal candidate will have a sound legal background, a good understanding of operations, and experience in managing compliance across multiple states.
Eligibility Criteria
- LLB or LLM with 7-10 years of relevant experience in legal and compliance roles
- In-depth knowledge of corporate law, labour laws, FSSAI norms, and municipal licensing procedures
- Prior experience in real estate, hospitality, or fast-paced startups preferred
- Strong ability to handle compliance across multiple jurisdictions
- Excellent legal drafting, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to thrive in a high-growth environment
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee legal and regulatory compliance across all operational states
- Manage and renew licences and permits (e.g., Trade, FSSAI, Labour, Shops & Establishments)
- Draft, review, and maintain contracts, legal documents, notices, and audit records
- Coordinate with local/state authorities, regulators, and external legal teams
- Conduct internal audits and guide teams on corrective measures
- Stay updated on legal and regulatory changes, offering proactive compliance guidance
- Track corporate compliance status and ensure timely submissions and filings
- Lead training sessions to build legal awareness and improve compliance across teams
