I'm recruiting for a Therapy Lead in North London, working in an addictions setting. It needs someone who understands the clinical reality of addiction work, but also wants to lead people properly.
The role involves supporting and overseeing a therapy team, helping maintain standards, shaping the therapeutic offer, and making sure the service has the kind of clinical consistency that patients and staff both need. Clinical credibility is incredibly important.
This isn't just about being a strong therapist yourself. It's about whether you can support other therapists, hold quality, give direction, manage the difficult bits, and stay grounded in a setting where the work can carry a lot of emotional weight.
You’ll need addictions experience, and the 12 step model is important here. You’ll also need to be comfortable with leadership, supervision and the operational reality of running a therapy service within a larger mental health setting.
The role would suit someone who is already leading, or someone very close to that level who is ready to take on more responsibility. It probably won't suit someone who only wants pure clinical work and no people management.
If you’re an addictions therapist or therapy leader in North London, and this sounds close to where your head is at, apply and let’s have a conversation.
