Responsibilities
- Serve delicious balanced meals that children and parents trust and in accordance with the nursery's nutritional guidance for the under fives
- Maintain a safe, clean and hygienic kitchen, always meeting food hygiene and food safety standards
- Comply with all company policies around preparing and serving the food including managing various dietary requirements
- Keep playrooms, bathrooms, and shared areas clean and hygienic, ready for busy little explorers
- Handle laundry and linen changes to ensure everything is fresh, tidy, and cosy
- Support the team with daily cleaning routines, helping maintain our high standards of care
- Help us create a warm, home from home environment where children feel safe and nurtured
- Be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and organisation in all areas
Qualifications
- Has a great eye for detail and a genuine pride in their work
- Can work independently but is also happy to be part of a team
- Understands (or is willing to learn) basic health & safety and hygiene procedures
- Brings a positive attitude and a caring approach to everything they do
- Holds a Food Hygiene qualification (or is willing to work towards one)
- Has a genuine love for working in an environment with children
- Can plan ahead, stay organised, and work independently
- Effectively communicates with colleagues and management regarding daily cleaning schedules, supply needs and any maintenance issues
