An excellent opportunity for an experienced Mobile Plant / Field Service Engineer to join a well-established machinery business supporting a wide range of heavy plant equipment across the region. This is a field-based role focused on keeping customer machinery in peak operating condition through servicing, maintenance, inspections and repairs.
The Role
- Service, maintain, and repair heavy plant machinery (including tracked equipment)
- Investigate, diagnose and resolve mechanical, hydraulic and basic electrical faults
- Respond to breakdowns and emergency call-outs
- Complete scheduled maintenance and safety inspections
- Accurately complete job cards, timesheets and service reports
- Manage van stock and request parts efficiently
- Maintain high safety standards and compliance procedures
- Deliver professional, customer-focused service at all times
- Work independently across customer sites
- Support and supervise apprentices where required
What We're Looking For
- Strong mechanical aptitude and plant engineering experience
- Confident fault-finding on diesel engines, hydraulics and electrics
- Comfortable working at height and underneath heavy machinery
- Able to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Full UK driving licence essential
