About The Role

As Team Leader you will provide practical assistance and emotional support to empower your team to enable the people we support to achieve their goals and aspirations.

The role

Working alongside and with the support of our Registered Manager you will be responsible for the provision of high quality care by participating, observing, and sharing experience across all services. As well as managing one of the established supported living homes. You will be supported in your work by various team leaders and senior support workers.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring that each person we support receives person centred, Ethos driven and outcome focused care which reflects their assessed and individual needs by encouraging discussion and input from the people we support.
  • Take responsibility for quality within the service by implementing and ensuring compliance with the company's clinical governance and quality assurance systems.
  • Ensure that each person we support has documentation that is personal to them, that care/goal plans are reviewed monthly and good, accurate notes are made, allowing the reader to see the changes or progress made.
  • Assist the Registered Manager with reviewing budgets, staff rotas, complaints and relationship building with external regulatory bodies.
  • Always act as a role model to staff. Lead and manage an empowered, engaged, motivated and highly effective support team encouraging them to make a difference to the people we support and their lives, whilst providing the highest quality care.
  • Ensure effective recruitment, induction, training, coaching and development of staff, and completing managerial supervisions and annual appraisals for all staff ensuring competencies are met and the values are always maintained.

About you

To be successful in this role, previous experience within a similar managerial position in a care setting is essential. In addition:

  • You will be willing to work towards or have a NVQ Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care or equivalent.
  • You will be enthusiastic and passionate about delivering high quality, person centred care for the people we support and be able to provide inspiring, motivational, clear and supportive leadership for our colleagues.
