Summary: Teaching Assistant 3 Fixed Term 1 Year

Salary: Grade 6 (£28,142 - £32,061) - Full Time (Pro Rata Equivalent £22,111 - £25,190)

Working Hours: Fixed Term One Year (33.5 hours per week), Term time only plus 5 days, Start Date - 1st September 2026

Role Overview: The Acorns School 11-16 PRU is looking to recruit a Level 3 Teaching Assistant who will work with specific groups of students on a daily basis, supporting young people undergoing assessment for an EHCP and/or involvement with Children's Social Care via Child in Need or Child Protection processes and/or CAMHS.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with pupils with challenging behaviour and complex needs.
  • Support children in assessment and planning for EHCPs.
  • Collaborate with social care services, including Child in Need, Child Protection and CAMHS.
  • Provide assistance during term time sessions, including 5 additional days of support.
  • Participate in CPD and mentor relationships with established colleagues.
